What makes The Dog Adventure Co. different from a regular dog walker?

We’re not just dog walkers—we’re dog adventurers! Instead of short, repetitive neighbourhood walks, we take dogs on exciting off-leash adventures to beaches, forests, and nature trails where they can run, explore, and socialise in small, carefully selected groups.

What type of adventures do you offer?

We offer:

  • Beach Runs – Off-leash fun on dog-friendly beaches

  • Bush Hikes – Scenic nature trails for ultimate sniffing & exploring

  • Nature Walks – Varied terrain to engage all senses & keep dogs stimulated

Each adventure is designed to physically and mentally stimulate your dog, keeping them happy, socialised, and well-exercised.

How long are the adventures?

Our adventures last 2-3 hours. Your dog will be out of the house for a half-day experience, leaving them happy and tired when they return home!

Safety & Grouping

Are the adventures safe for my dog?

Absolutely! Safety is our #1 priority.

  • Small Groups – Max 4-5 dogs per group for close supervision

  • Trained & Insured Handlers – Experienced in off-leash management & dog behaviour

  • GPS Tracking & Safety Gear – We use GPS collars & long leads for dogs still learning recall

  • Pre-Adventure Assessment – We meet every dog before their first adventure to ensure they’re a good fit

Can any dog join?

Most dogs love our adventures, but to keep everyone safe & happy, we require:

✔️ Dogs 6+ months old
✔️ Good recall skills (or comfortable on a long lead)
✔️ Friendly & social with other dogs
✔️ Up-to-date on vaccinations & flea/tick prevention

What if my dog has never been off-leash?

That’s okay! We introduce new dogs gradually, using long leads and controlled environments to ensure a safe and positive experience.

Booking & Membership

How do I book my dog’s first adventure?

Simply fill in this short form and we’ll will be in contact shortly to arrange a free meet & greet.

What areas do you service?

We currently service Bulimba, Hawthorne, and surrounding areas. If you’re unsure if we cover your suburb, just ask!

Do you offer one-off adventures, or do I need a membership?

At The Dog Adventure Co., we believe that true enrichment, socialisation, and exercise come from consistency—not just a one-off trip. That’s why we don’t offer casual, one-off adventures, except for your dog’s FREE first adventure (our meet & greet assessment).

Here’s why regular adventures are essential for your dog:

Safety & Familiarity

  • Dogs thrive on routine! By going on regular adventures, they become familiar with our handlers, the pack, and the adventure locations.

  • This ensures they’re comfortable, confident, and fully engaged, reducing stress and anxiety.

Building the Perfect Pack

  • Dogs are social animals, and consistent outings allow them to form strong bonds with their adventure group.

  • A stable pack dynamic = safer, happier, and more enjoyable adventures!

Pick-Up & Drop-Off

How does pick-up and drop-off work?

We provide free, stress-free pick-up and drop-off directly from your home!

  • Pick-up in the morning (exact time depends on location)

  • Dogs enjoy their adventure!

  • Drop-off happy, tired, and fulfilled!

You’ll also receive photo & video updates so you can see your pup in action!

Do I need to be home for pick-up/drop-off?

Nope! As long as we have safe access (e.g., side gate or key arrangement), we’ll handle everything while you go about your day.

Pricing & Payments

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept credit/debit cards, bank transfers, and automatic payments for members.

Can I cancel my membership anytime?

Yes! We require 7 days' notice to cancel or adjust your membership plan.

Photos, Videos & Updates

Will I get updates during my dog’s adventure?

Yes! We send photo & video updates during each adventure, so you can see your pup having fun in real time!

Cancellation Policy

What Is Your Cancellation Policy?

We understand that life happens, and sometimes you may need to cancel or reschedule your dog’s adventure. To ensure fairness to our team and other members, we have the following cancellation policy in place:

Cancellations with More Than 24 Hours’ Notice

  • If you need to cancel an adventure and provide at least 24 hours’ notice, there is no cancellation fee, and we can reschedule your dog’s adventure for another available day.

Cancellations Within 24 Hours or No-Shows

  • If you cancel within 24 hours of your scheduled adventure, your session will be forfeited or if our team arrives for pick-up and your dog is unavailable, the session will also be forfeited and a $15 late cancellation fee may apply.

  • This is because we carefully plan our pack groupings, transport, and schedules in advance, and last-minute cancellations impact our ability to offer the spot to another dog.

  • The Company reserves the right to cancel services due to extreme weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances, with clients given the option to reschedule.
